Lemmon Hughes AJAX Interface Expansion

The Task
Lemmon Hughes wanted their online portfolio to match the sleekness of their displayed work. To begin with, in supporting browsers, all interactions needed to be switched from completely new page reloads to either JavaScript-powered animations or AJAX calls to load in new content. The main issue was that this portfolio includes a very large amount of data in each section and page; even more challenging was the fact that the newly inserted Flash media often relied on JavaScript loaders.
The Solution
Using jQuery, I built a structure of functions that would not only load in the appropriate content using AJAX as the user clicks through the navigation interface, but would also keep the content cached for less memory usage. I also used a jQuery hash-change plugin, BBQ, to maintain history functionality throughout the site. On top of this, I fixed some functionality issues in the existing portfolio slider, and adjusted the CSS to suit the animations more fluidly so that jQuery wouldn't have to rewrite CSS rules unnecessarily.
